Choosing the Right HostingGoneWild Package

July 22nd, 2008

HostingGoneWild offers a wide variety of web hosting packages that can provide you or your company the price, commitment and service that you desire.

Our hosting plans start at just $4.95 a month with a 2 year commitment. This is one of the greatest values on the Internet. There may be cheap web hosting services out there who offer hosting for $4 a month, but they offer nowhere near the level of space, bandwidth, service or technology that HostingGoneWild does.

How Much Should I Pay For Hosting?

July 21st, 2008

There are a lot of free hosting solutions out there and these can be great for someone who wants a small, personal website that doesn’t have many visitors and therefore doesn’t need much bandwidth. But for people looking for a corporate hosting service or anyone who wants to provide their viewers with a lot of audio or video clips, having a paid hosting service is a necessity.

Free hosting services don’t allow you to use your own domain name which is a real detriment to your SEO efforts. Ideally you want a website that is just your company’s names or something that describes your products and services well. You don’t want something that says www.YourCompany.Yahoo.com. This looks unprofessional and shows people that you don’t take your website very seriously.

What is Bandwidth?

July 20th, 2008

One of the questions that we get asked the most is “What is bandwidth and how does it relate to my website?” In the following blog, we’ll attempt to explain what exactly bandwidth is as well as why it’s important to your company and your website.

When people visit your website they are actually downloading your text and images from your web hosting server onto their computers. If you have thousands of visitors to your website, this can quickly add up. Also, whenever you send images, videos or text to your website to be hosted, this uploading also counts as bandwidth usage.

What is a Web Host?

July 19th, 2008

If you’re new to web hosting you might be wondering, “What is a web host?” A web host is basically a server that is connected to the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They have server software installed that connects your website to the Internet and hosts it for you. A quality web host provider will ensure that their servers have a very limited downtime in order to make your website available at all times.
