GoDaddy.com Hosting Plans

About

Godaddy.com has been a leader in the domain industry since Bob Parsons created the company in 1999. Godaddy.com claims to be the largest hosting provider, but I have my doubts. They are probably including all of their parked domains in the estimate; however it’s easy to believe that Godaddy.com is the #1 registrar of domain names. This leads me to question their focus on their hosting platform, because their primary focus has always been domain sales.

Features

GoDaddy.com lacks the general features that most serious developers would want, but what makes Godaddy.com a viable solution for many is the one stop shop approach to getting  their web site online fast and easy. Godaddy.com will sell you the domain, hosting it for you, and then sell you tons of stuff you probably don’t need. They offer nothing exceptional except you never have to leave the Godaddy.com realm to manage your web site.

If you’re thinking about opening a business site then GoDaddy is not the best choice you can make. For newcomers seeking to create a simple website GoDaddy is great however.
The great thing about GoDaddy is it’s completeness. GoDaddy will not only handle your domain name, but also host it for you. Additionally, GoDaddy offers various different pre-made sites one can use.
GoDaddy is also very good because of its great support. Whenever I have questions they get answered within the hour.

I always believe on HostGator Hosting service but they are best in Domain market rather than hosting.

I got started with GoDaddy hosting about 6 months ago when I launched off my website: http://www.thetexasreport.com. Even though I must say it was the Danica Patrick commercial that lured me over, their support and service has been A+.

Being the novice web developer that I am, there are times when I call in after my SQL DB has crashed and I’m able to speak with someone in ENGLISH. For this reason alone, I see myself staying with Go Daddy for another 6 months and beyond.

P.S I wish they’d do more of those Danica commercials.
